This line in bursting with elegance and innocence with gorgeous soft colours and eye catching design features. There is no shortage of delicate lace collars and embroidered bodices which show that fairy tale dresses aren’t just for young girls. They are for all ages.

The inspiration here is highly personal – the designer’s own heritage – which goes at least some way towards explaining the exquisite hand-craftsmanship that goes into each piece as well, of course, as bird head-dresses and McQueen tartan. The collection is luxurious and romantic but melancholic and even austere at the same time. The silhouette – all nipped waists, bustles and exaggerated hip lines – is designed to exaggerate a woman’s form and each piece is unique, a one-off couture creation with emotional content intended to be handed down from generation to generation like the most precious of heirlooms.

For the 2013 Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence, best known for her lead role in The Hunger Games, wore a breath taking Haute Couture Dior gown for her big night. The dress made a huge impact. Lawrence was undoubtably the best dressed.

Lawrence chose to wear a delicate Chopard necklace down her back, enhancing the elegant dress even more. I’m eager to see how quickly this trend takes off over the course of the summer.

The Silver Linings Playbook star, has also landed herself with ever girls dream job, as she has been casted for the new face of Dior. Lawrence was captured by Willy Vandepere for Dior’s 2013 spring/summer collection. Every photo I see I find utterly beautiful, with Jennifer’s strong, but elegant facial features, it’s hard to take your eyes off her! I think she has done an amazing job. Lawrence fits the bill perfectly for the timeless, much loved fashion house.

This ivory pleated dress is pure elegance… The volume added by the pleats makes the garment eye catching, but the simple addition of the white tights makes the dress subtle. The combination of the pleated frill down the back of the dress, representing wings, and the image being taken in a dance studio, highlights the beauty and significance of swan lake.
